How does it work?
Ranger Solo is designed to provide the full benefits of Ranger security and management to laptop and stand-alone machines. Ranger Solo uses the same security and control programs as Ranger for Networks, with additional programs for local user management.

In many situations having the entire system protected may become inconvenient. For instance, you may not wish to have word documents overwritten if the system rolls back to an earlier saved state. To cater for this, Ranger Restore assumes a very flexible system of exceptions integrated into the protection component. Exception rules allows you to set directories, files or file extensions which will then be left alone during any restore process.
