Error whilst printing statements via the client machine

Question

We get the following error:



Symptoms

"Error: (file not open (37)) attempting to access a record from the \\<server_name>\<rpm share name>\data\UserTran.tps  file. Return to previous window."



Resolution

Please download an up-dated gpclient.exe from http://www.rangersuite.com/files/support_files/gpclient.exe



Instructions

  • Stop your Ranger Print manager services on the server you've installed it to.
  • Download the gpclient.exe from above
  • Replace it with what you've already got
  • Restart the services
  • And reboot the client machine affected



Testing

  • Try and print a statement from the client machine after the steps above.
