Question

Why are the Report Packs are empty when starting Ranger Report Manager

Symptoms

When starting Ranger Report Manager the Report Packs are not populated.

Cause

The error is caused by missing lines in the Sentinel Reporter Manager.ini file located in the Ranger Reporter folder

Resolution

Amend the Sentinel Reporter Manager.ini to display the required Report Packs

Instructions

To display the Network Ranger Web Tracking Pack add the line

NRWT=c:\program files\ranger\webtrackingreports\wt pack.ini under the heading Report Packs

To display the Ranger Outpost Auditing Pack add the line

ROA=c:\program files\ranger outpost\reports\ro pack.ini under the heading Report Packs

After amending the file restart the Ranger Reporter Engine service

Testing

Restart Ranger Report Manager and ensure the Report Packs are populated.
