Question

Is there any way to stop the automatic mapping of the home drive (h:) during a local Solo logon to enable the user to save files to a shared home directory on a peer to peer network?

Cause

Resolution

Instructions

Yes.

Open the Ranger.dat file from the Ranger directory for editing.

Locate the solo section

Add the following line:

maphomedrive0

Save the changes.

This will ensure the home drive is not mapped during local logon.

The default setting if the line is not present is "on" - map home drive...

Note: This feature will only work when Solo is running on Windows 9x machines.

Note: This functionality is available from LPTPLGN.EXE version 4.0.3.6 (June 2001).
