Question

Why do our client machines display RGRUNIte.exe / application errors on logon - after upgrading to v6



Symptoms

Relates to RGRUInite.exe or Windows Application Error



Cause

Issue with program code.



Resolution

 

Apply the fix below:

 

Download the following patch:

And follow the steps below:

  • On the Ranger server, Ranger directory - in the Clupdate folder, copy the most recent folder and rename it with a new update to date time/date stamp (as these subfolders are named by the date stamp)
  • Unzip the files and copy the files attached into the folder.
  • Restart or boot up a couple of workstations.
  • Attempt a couple of logons if the there are no errors.

If you see a problem please send a screen shot and all files in the c:\debug client folder.
