Question

Why do I get the following error message whilst trying to connect to a student machine view RRC:

"Client Rejects the Link #1707"

Cause

This error message is seen at the Control machine when attempting to connect to a Client. There can be many reasons for this error message and all are caused by the Client Configuration not allowing the Control to connect. Below is a list of reasons for this message:

  1. The Client is set for User Acknowledgement and the User at the Client has rejected the link
  2. The Client has Control Address restrictions set that do not allow this Control to connect
  3. The Client has a Security Key Set and this does not match the Security Key set at the control
  4. The Client and Control are running incompatible versions.
  5. The RRC Tutor Control is trying to Connect to a RRC Inform Student
