Instructions
By default, the use of DOS based programs is restricted due to the low level of system access DOS gives users.
Typically, MSDOS programs can be restricted in three ways.
Application Checks
Title Checks
Policy restrictions
By default, secure Ranger groups restrict DOS programs via Application and Title checking.
To allow DOS programs for different groups, simply remove the Application and Title checking entries via RangerAdmin's security settings.
If policy restrictions are enabled and a message appears saying "This program cannot be run due to restrictions in effect on this computer. Please contact your system administrator" appears, then use a group based policy entry in ranger profiles to make DOS restrictions group specific.
In Ranger Admin, add a the Windows.adm policy template. (EditSettingsRanger ProfilesAddBrowse to Admfiles folderWindows.adm)
Expand and configure the Disable MSDOS prompt policy entry as appropriate.
