Ranger and Ghost

Question

I am using Ranger at the moment and have started to use Symantec Ghost  - Is it okay to leave Ranger on the image or do I have to remove it first?

Lots of people use Ghost for building workstation images. Its probably best to remove Ranger from the machine you're ghosting to avoid any misconfigurations from server changes or IP address changes.

After re-ghosting a machine and changing the machine name, simply log on as your "RangerInstall" user to put Ranger back on.

However, should you choose to leave the Ranger client installed after Ghosdting to a new machine please delte the following registry key

HKLM\Software\Hyperion Security Software\Ranger\Current Settings\Client ID

This will force the client to obtain a new unique ID at start up.
