Question
We are unable to capture peoples screens, if you click on capture screen nothing happens.

Instructions
Check the permissions on the rangersshots directory. All users need at least Read AND Write permissions to this directory.
Also, check the permissions on the Ranger Share, to make sure users can have full access through the share.
Alternatively, on NT/2000 systems, running the Ranger Account Manager Set-up/Repair option should fix any permissions problems.
Background - when you click on capture screen, LAN Ranger sends a message to the client(s) with a path and filename to save the screenshot as.
Typically this would be server\rangers\shots20010403142147,student,QUEEG (95).bmp
If the client manages to save the file specified correctly, then it replies to LAN Ranger saying "shot saved ok". LAN Ranger will then start Screenviewer.exe to display the screen. Screen capture messages to clients can be seen in the status log.
