Question
How do I create a Config Man dump to send to technical support?

Cause
If you are experiencing difficulties with your Ranger installation or have requested assistance from your Dealer or Sentinel support you may be asked to create a Ranger configuration dump file.
Resolution
To assist with troubleshooting we have developed a utility that captures details about your Ranger configuration. Depending on where the program is run the utility will capture information with a different perspective.
If the program is run on the server from within the Ranger folder the configuration dump utility will capture the servers Ranger folder, event log settings, Windows file versions and hardware settings.
If the program is run on the client via the Ranger share the configuration dump utility will capture the local workstation event log settings, Windows file versions and hardware settings as well as the servers details (same as above). The file will typically be larger than the one created directly on the server because it will include both sets of data.
Instructions
Logon to the server or workstation as instructed and browse to the Ranger folder. In the root of the Ranger folder find 'ConfigMan.exe'.
Start Configman.exe from the Ranger directory.
On the welcome screen click next.
Select option 3 - 'Send your Ranger configuration to technical support'. This is very important!
Tick 'I Agree' and click next
Fill in the problem report form, include as much information as possible.
Enter the name of a test user account or problematic account, so that the configuration dump can include a working user's home directory (optional)
Leave the default settings for additional options unless otherwise stated.
Click next.
You will see the configuration start collecting data from your Ranger servers.
If you are running a Ranger Enterprise the configuration dump utility will scan for the other Ranger servers and collect details from them too.
When the dump is complete, you have two options.
Try option 1, Send configuration automatically.
Click next.
The computer used to build a configuration dump will now try to connect to our server to upload the results. If successful the wizard will complete.
If the connection fails for any reason for example a firewall blocking the outbound connection, click back.
Then choose option 2 'Move configuration file to a specified directory'
Change the default location if necessary and click next.
Click finish to close the wizard.
Now locate the *.rbk file and email the file to support@rangersuite.com
