Why do I get a logon error in Ranger Outpost Client when trying to connect to my school's Ranger Outpost Server?

Cause
Ranger Outpost requires a number of conditions to be true in order to successfully logon a user. Sometimes logon errors will be down to the user entering their logon details incorrectly and sometimes the error will be due to a miss configuration of the server software and therefore only the network administrator can resolve this.

Possible reasons for error message 1
This error can mean several things.
Possible reasons for error message 2
This error is due to the way your computer is trying to connect to the server. It is able to see the server but is not allowed to talk to it. To resolve this error you will need to contact your network administrator.

This error means that your user hasn't been setup to use Ranger Outpost, you will need to contact your network administrator and ask him to make you a member of an Outpost group.

This error is telling you that you password is incorrect. Just try to log on again and make sure you type your password in correctly, remember passwords are case sensitive. If you still get errors contact your network administrator.

Close Ranger Outpost Client and then reopen the program again. Then retype the logon username and password making sure that the password is typed in correctly.
